First-Year Experience Seminar

Both an orientation and a seminar, the First-Year Experience Seminar (LIBS 199) is a two-credit, transferrable course designed to help you successfully transition to college.

Instructors work to familiarize you with important campus resources and provide support as you navigate your first year at Highland. Several FYES have peer mentors available in class ready to lend a helping hand!

During the seminar, you’ll attend events including Thrive Week workshops and Career Service’s annual Career Fair. Presentation topics include mental health awareness, Financial Aid, Disability Services, and Advising.
