COVID-19 Closure note:
New library cards will not be issued until the library is physically open again. A library card is not needed to access library online resources. From the Discovery search box you will be prompted to enter your Highland network username and password. This is the same username and password that you would use to check your Groupwise email or sign in to Moodle. If you have questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Who is Eligible?
Eligibility to apply online for a library card is restricted to currently enrolled HCC Students. All other users must apply for a library card in person.
What do I Need Before I Can Apply?
When applying for a library card online, you will need a valid student ID number and a valid HCC email address. You must have a valid HCC email address in order to receive your barcode number. The library is unable to process library card requests without HCC email address verification.
When will my library card be active?
You will receive your new barcode by email within 24 hours of your request Monday through Friday (summer session Monday through Thursday). Your library barcode number will allow you to request items and access your library account online. You may opt to pick up your card at the library or request delivery by US mail. If you request delivery by mail, the physical card will be sent to your home by mail within 7 days of your request. Contact the library if your card does not arrive within 7 days. Please remember to bring your library card with you whenever you visit the library in person.
