Physical education is the study of fitness, health, recreation, and sports. The HCC associate of science physical education program (AS) enables students to receive an excellent background of experience in physical education, sports, fitness, and recreation. This program is designed for students intending to pursue a baccalaureate degree in physical education or a related field.
The comprehensive, multilevel HCC/YMCA Sports Center includes: Iron Works, Olympic-size 25-meter pool, three racquetball courts, two gymnasiums, 1/14-mile banked jogging track, a universal gym, Air Dyne bikes, Cybex, Transports, Nordic Track, and a rowing machine.
Students who enroll in six or more credit hours of classes a semester are eligible for a personal membership at the Sports Center.
